Mirala Film Festival

The Mirala Film Festival supports independent female filmmakers by showing their work at a screening, and listening to them during the Q&A after to hear their stories and opinions on things.

Sofia Ayerdi, a fellow Goldie, was one of them and she was representing her short film "Na Savi," which I've seen 3 times now.

Another film that showed at the festival, that I found to be powerful, was "Fluffy Homegirls." Written and directed by Elvia Susana Rubalcava, and starring Tara Sanchez.

Actor LaToya Rucker was there to respect a film she starred in called "The Way of the Wind." Her friend Cindy Christi was there to support her and they both were dressed as beauty pageant queens.
